We worked collaboratively with the MiCO team to deliver the My Care Record project across Suffolk and north east Essex. From the beginning of the project, the team drove delivery with their professional, organised approach to the work. Their experience in pushing for milestones and identifying operational detail really supported and complemented the knowledge and experience of our own team. They ensured that our project had a single, consistent approach to governance, management, reporting, and delivery. MiCo are an exceptional consultancy company.
We worked with MiCO to develop the digital strategy for west Essex CCG. They quickly turned the strategy into a clear delivery plan and provided the expertise and resources to deliver it successfully. They have been instrumental in delivering projects including e-consultation and integrated care records. MiCO was also used to help define and deliver our Integrated Care Record programme for the whole Hertfordshire STP. Within this programme they achieved significant results in developing and delivering a shared care programme, branded under a common brand, My Care Record. MiCO has assisted us in developing a concept and brand for integrated care records. This is now going to be shared with other CCGs which will bring significant efficiency savings for the NHS.
The MiCO team brought skillsets that weren't available within our organisation including programme and change management and information governance. Alongside this, MiCO always ensured that the organisation's view and objectives were fully considered. They also made sure that internal staff were fully included, trained in new ways of working where change was required and made the handover at the end of the project much easier.
MiCO provided realistic and achievable solutions while always keeping focussed on the strategic direction. Overall, I really valued their fully integrated approach and would strongly recommend them as a delivery partner.

In my role of CCIO, MiCO provided me with invaluable support. Importantly they have a strong understanding of the importance of clinical input within technology projects. Throughout our joint projects, there has been excellent stakeholder engagement. They have always ensured that there was a high level of involvement from clinicians - something that is never easy with busy schedules. The MiCO colleagues we have worked with have been invaluable to the successful implementation of My Care Record and the NHS App. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them and they have both a sympathy and empathy that encourage a collaborative working ethos.
